Marcus went in for his second new born club visit. They wanted to check his weight and feeding again. He’s now almost back to his birth weight at 1 week old, 8 lb 1 oz. Just a few ounces shy from where he started. He’s been feeding more frequently during the day and sleeping longer stretches at night (up to 4 hours). He’s not getting enough milk from me and is requiring supplementation at 2 ounces per feeding. He will be going back to New Born Club again next week to have his frenulum clipped. Mckayla had the same procedure done when she was about one and a half week old also. It was a quick (painless per MD) procedure but I recall shedding more tears myself than she did.
