Mckayla is doing not too bad with Marcus’ arrival. My Mom brought her in the next morning to see us. She climbed in bed with me to cuddle and held the baby with me. She was little surprised with the disappearance of my big belly at first. We explained to her that the baby has came out and was right next to us. After we came home from the hospital, she had her moments. Sometimes she’s the sweetest sister, helping with diaper change and wanting to hold him. But the next moment, she wants nothing to do with him and gets upset when anyone’s holding the baby. At one point, she asked me to put the baby on the floor while I was feeding and hold her instead. I told her I will put the baby down in the crib when he’s done eating. She was very upset and turned her back to us. Then, we saw her little face turned red and tears started to drip down her face. She was crying but without making any noises. It was so sad seeing her like that. Then, later in the afternoon, she heard baby crying through the monitor and was the first one there by his crib to check on him. We’re hoping this jealousy period won’t last too long for Mckayla.
