Tooth #18

The bottom second molars are both out now (#17 and #18). Mckayla’s got two more second molars to go and we’ll be done for a while. We truly don’t enjoy the eruption period of those teeth and can’t wait til they’re all done.

Counting

Mckayla is making progress (or not) with her counting. She counts in English one through ten, but skips seven and eight. She counts in Chinese one through ten, but skips five and six. But in both languages, the number ten is always followed by “yay”. She learned that from us, because we cheer her on [...]

I love JoJo

My brother Ajay is in town for a week and Mckayla is enjoying spending time with him. When we arrived at the SFO to pick him up, Mckayla pointed at the airplanes and said, “Taiwan”, “see”, “JoJo”. She was pleasantly surprised when we pulled up at the curb and Uncle Ajay opened the door. She [...]

Erin’s Mom, Sophia, babysat Mckayla when her Nanny wasn’t available when she was about 6 months old. So, Mckayla always gets very excited when she sees Auntie Sophia, giving her hugs [...]

Child Safety Lock

Few days ago, while we were driving around, I heard Mckayla playing with the window button. I told her to stop but she continued to play. Before we were able to activate the child safety lock for the windows, the window was wide open already. She thought it was funny and told us there’s wind [...]

It’s Out!

Mckayla’s first of the second molars is finally out. I can’t really see the back of her mouth, excpet when I lift her upside down and tickle her to laugh with her mouth wide open at the same time. I tried reaching with my finger but she wouldn’t even let my hand get close to [...]
