How many kicks do you get?

Mckayla has always been kicker, even when she was in the womb. With anything that makes her happy, she kicks her legs to show her excitement. Things that make her happy include her favorite food (yogurt and peaches at the moement), her favorite dog MeiMei, her favorite activities (swimming and baths). The more excited she [...]

XOXO

Mckayla had a busy weekend entertaining families. Uncle Andre and Ted’s family (a.k.a. grandparents, auntie, and cousins) were in town this weekend. After a couple weeks of teaching her “hug”, she’s now able to give hugs on command and when she’s in a good mood. And Auntie Jackie has been teaching her how to kiss. [...]

Vaccum

Ted was away for the night yesterday for work. When I was trying to grab a plate to cut up peaches for Mckayla, I knocked over some bowls in the cabinet and broke one of them. Shards were everywhere all over the counter and kitchen floor. To contain the damage and prevent injury, I put [...]

MeiMei comes to the rescue

Ted tried to put Mckayla to sleep last night but it didn’t work. Right before 9:30PM, Ted gave Mckayla her last bottle. Sibling Interaction

This morning, after Mckayla had her breakfast, Ted left her in our bed while he hopped in the shower. MeiMei and I were still sleeping when Mckayla joined us. Mckayla was more interested in MeiMei than me when she got on the bed. She poked MeiMei and MeiMei licked her in return. Another gentle poke, [...]

Baby Food

Mckayla started to reject pureed baby food. Two days ago, Mckayla refused to eat the pureed strawberries/blueberries mixture that I made for her and we thought maybe it was too tart. Yesterday, Nanny fed her ground chicken and pureed sweet peas for lunch and she ate almost the entire serving (~6 oz) that I prepared [...]

Readjusting

Since we moved back to our house on Friday night, Mckayla’s been having cranky nights. Waking up at 2AM and refusing to go back to her own crib. For the first two nights, we gave in and let her sleep in our bed until the morning. Sleeping in the same bed with her in Cancun [...]

Sleeping on the Job

Mckayla has few obligations everyday – eat, sleep, poop, pee, and play. Few nights ago, she was so exhausted after a long day of hard work, she fell asleep while eating her peaches. Check out the video!
